Goals For 2016.

It's a little hard to believe that we're actually in 2016! The whole christmas period has passed in one big blur of overindulgence and champagne and now we're standing on the other side: January. Undoubtably one of the most depressing months but also the most favourable for making resolutions and setting goals. In todays post I wanted to talk through some of my goals with you guys. I've never been one for making outright resolutions because lets be honest; just because I say I'll exercise five days a week it's really not going to happen and I'm not going to waste time thinking about it. But I am constantly setting myself new challenges and goals which is what this post will all be about.

Achievement

As I'm not currently in any form of education (you can read about why that is here) I won't be sitting any written exams this year so my plans to achieve for once don't centre around a grade on a piece of paper. This year my main challenge is undoubtably passing my driving test. It's something that I need to do in order to commute to work and something that I want so badly. Personally learning to drive has been a massive challenge for me as I lacked any confidence and was convinced for a very long time that I was the worst driver ever to grace the earth. Now I've gained a little confidence and hopefully with the right attitude and luck on the day I'll be able to finally ditch the L plates!

Travel

2015 was an amazing year when it comes to travelling. I was lucky enough to visit Barbados, Barcelona and London to name just a few! Hopefully this theme will continue into 2016 as exploring new places is one of my all time favourite things to do. As it is I have a family holiday booked to the Lake District in February, plans to visit one of my best friends who's working as a chalet girl in the French Alps (me and my other bf are going to learn to ski and it's going to be fabulous!) and a relaxing vacation to Mykonos in the summer. Amongst that I'm sure I'll be spotted in London a few times not to mention Cornwall as well! I'm so lucky and grateful with the amount that I get to travel!

Blog Plans and Social Media

December marked my 6 month blog anniversary! I know, I can't believe it's been that long already not to mention the 300+ amazing followers I have on Bloglovin' who never fail to comment lovely things! In 2016 I really want to up my blogging game. By that I mean, beautiful photos, nicely written articles and content that really inspires not just you guys but myself also. In terms of followers I'd love to hit the big 1000 but I don't just blog for the numbers, I do it because I love it and anytime you find yourself hating it I truly believe you should just take a break.

I've also been working really hard to make my Instagram theme reflect my favourites and personality. You can view my last six photos in the sidebar (which is linked to my Instagram also) and I'd love for you to hit me up with a cheeky follow. Instagram is my favourite platform and yet I find it really hard to gain followers?! If you've got any tips feel free to leave them below!

University

After my impromptu gap year, September 2016 marks the month I finally start university. Of course I'm super nervous to go someplace totally new but I'm also really excited to meet new people and get back into education. 2015 was definitely the year of getting rid of 'excess' 'friends' and whilst I'm happier for it, I do sometimes feel that lack of friends. In theory uni will throw me head first into a pool of likeminded people... Who knows, maybe I'll even meet some of you guys in 2016!

Fashion and Beauty

The last thing I wanted to talk to you guys about was my interest in fashion and beauty. I mean, I don't really think it will come as much of a surprise to you guys (er hello you're on my blog right?!) and this year I really want to invest in some more long wearing pieces. I very nearly bought my first pair of nude Louboutins' last year but ended up saving my money to buy a MacBook. As it is I have my eye on two gorgeous pairs of shoes: the classic Tory Burch ballet flat and the Christian Louboutin Pigalle pump in nude. The same goes for handbags - I really and I mean really want a designer bag this year!

So that's all! Hope you all have a wonderful 2016 and achieve everything you set you sights on!
