Saying Goodbye To The Sea | Cornwall Day 4.

As someone who lives about as far away from the sea as it's possible to get in the UK, saying goodbye to the beauty of the seaside is always hard to do. So the morning we departed Cornwall we headed down the long (steep) path onto the beach one last time. As it was fairly early the light was still low causing the waters to look stormy grey, flecked only with small diamond like specks of sunlight.

If you follow my snapchat you might also be aware (because I talked about it on there) that the tide at this time of morning is so far out so all the rock pools, seaweed and shells are left plainly to see on the sand, which made for a lovely walk, scrambling over them and looking at the various sea life. It really is crazy to think that in just a few hours where we were standing would be covered by deep ocean.

But at last it was time to head home and what should have been a five and a half hour journey ended up taking us eight. Due to horrific traffic on the motorway we decided to take the 'scenic route'... yeah, never doing that again! (Though we did get to drive through Glastonbury which was a learning curve for my sister who, and I quote: 'Up until about five minutes ago thought it was in Scotland.' I mean, I ask you! And she did geography GCSE... and got an A!!

All in all I had an absolutely lovely holiday and hope to return very soon! Now bring on autumn!!
