September Favourites 2015

I haven't done a favourites post since June because I just haven't really felt that my blog called for one. But this month I've definitely been switching some things up for autumn / winter and fallen in love with some old faves. Also quick shameless plug, please follow my Instagram (I follow back unless you're a weirdo) ;) I'm really loving posting on there at the moment at it would mean so much to get a few more followers! *kisses*

Beauty Faves

To start I wanted to talk about the Rockateur Blush by Benefit. It's the perfect rose gold which, in my opinion, gives your cheeks that lovely autumnal glow. The only thing I'd say with this one, is that it's very subtle... In fact you have to swirl your brush around to get any colour pay off at all!!

Next up I have an eye and a lip product. Firstly let's talk about my MAC lipstick in the shade 'Capricious'. It's a lovely plum shade which enables you to do a dark lip without going super OTT. It's from the MAC lustre collection which focuses on moisturising, buttery lipsticks - perfect for the colder weather. (Really sorry, couldn't find it to link!!)

And then there's my YSL mascara. I'm not going to talk a huge amount on this one as I've done a review on it. If you interested I'll link that one here for you.

Fashion Faves

I have two fashion favourites the first of which being these jeans. Seriously I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of ripped jeans since about May so when I came across these on the Topshop website I knew I just had to order them. And thank god I did because I absolutely adore them! Also I believe Topshop has 20% off for students ATM so that's always fun!

My other fashion fave is my cartilage piercing. I don't really know if this counts as fashion but I'm obsessed with it! If you'd like to see pictures or read about my experience, click here!

Books faves

Bookwise I've read so many fantastic books this months. It all started with the Lunar Chronicles: Cinder, Scarlet and Cress. These are the first three books in a fabulous quartet by Marissa Meyer. They're set in the future where Earth has formed an alliance against the 'lunars' essentially people who live on the moon. Theres romance, badass-ness, fabulous characters... would highly, highly recommend!

Then I read Queen of Shadows, the forth book in a brilliant series (Throne of Glass) by Sarah J Maas. Whilst I did find this book a little hard to get into at first it soon made up for it and I can't wait for the next one! To be honest the reason why I found it hard to get into was probably because I read the first three whilst on holiday back in July, so I'd forgotten some of the minor characters and plot twists.

And lastly, I'm currently read Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. This was a massive thing around 2012-2013 in the book community but for some reason I just didn't pick it up. I'm so glad however, that I've given it a chance because it's truly so fabulous and makes me really miss the way fantasy used to be!!

If you want to read a little bit more about the first two books I talked about you can do here, but if you'd like proper reviews on any of them or have any recommendations for me, leave a comment below! <3

Lifestyle Faves

This month I decided to buy a planner. Last year I'd sworn by my Lilly Pulitzer but for some reason at the start of august I just didn't replace it. However half way through september I was losing track of which days I'd worked, when I had driving lessons etc. So I invested in this beautiful Kate Spade Agenda. Okay, for what essentially is a notebook it wasn't cheap (£32) but it's SO BEAUTIFUL OKAY?! I just got this one from amazon because I don't think the Kate Spade store stocks them in the UK.

Okay so that's it for today, let me know anything you've been loving this month, or if you've done a post about your September faves leave a link below and I'll be sure to check it out!
