How I Travel: OOTD

When I travel anywhere there is always one thing that's constantly on my mind: comfort. Because when you turn up at the airport at ridiculous-o'clock-in-the-morning all you probably care about is curling up in the lounge guzzling a caramel macchiato before walking like a zombie and flopping onto the plane. What you look like doesn't really seem that important. But then several hours later you're arriving at your hotel, the weather is beautiful, the caffeine has kicked in and suddenly you're realising that you're wearing the equivalent of your pyjamas. Oh god, those well-rested holiday makers are totally judging you, what do you do?

Well to be honest, at that point, there's not really a lot you can do. You're a lost cause. Sorry. But, this doesn't have to be you! Because there is something that embodies the comfort of sweatpants and a jumper without making you look like you've just awoken from a six month hibernation. Yep, that's right, it's the trusty jumpsuit!

This one is from Topshop and I'm absolutely obsessed! The material is lovely and cotton-like which is perfect for hot weather because unlike synthetic fibres it doesn't stick or make you sweat. It's also practical because at six o'clock in the morning England still resembles Iceland, so you really can't afford to be wearing shorts and a crop top. If you're interested in any of the items I'm wearing in today's post, I'll link them all at the bottom.

Something else I swear by is a pair of killer sunglasses. And these ones by Quay Australia are just slaying my life right now. They're reminiscent of the Dior So-Reals but without the hefty price tag - can I get an Amen?! The only problem with these is they're so reflective it's literally impossible to take a selfie without seeing a huge chunk of arm in the photo. Now that's a true #firstworldproblem!

I also always make an effort to wear my most expensive jewellery when I'm on the plane. This means, that if (heaven forbid) my suitcase gets lost or stolen I haven't lost some of my most valuable pieces. Similarly to this, I always carry my camera and lenses in my carry-on. It's just too paranoid to take the risk!
