What I Wore On a Spring Evening.

Sometimes the weather is just too good to be true. Warm, sunny, not a cloud in the sky... Unfortunately this is something that rarely seems to happen in England however a few night ago, the planets aligned and brought us some lovely sunshine, perfect for glamming up and getting ready for an evening out.

My family and I were headed out to a pub bistro style restaurant and naturally I relished the opinion to get a little dressed up. The style of the place we were going to, led me to pick something casual yet still a little more dressy than just jeans and a tee. Seriously, one of my biggest pet peeves in life, is when you go out for a meal to a nice restaurant, and no one has made an effort. Like you see men in jeans and women in trainers... Like what?! It just really irritates me for some reason. (Please let me know, if you guys like getting dressed up or whether it's just me being grouchy!)

The top I'm wearing is my absolute favourite style - one of last summers Topshop sale steals. On my slim frame I find that the loose shoulders even out my figure and give the appearance of not being totally stick-like. I actually own this exact top in three colours (I can feel the judgement already) but it's only because it was so inexpensive and flattering.

I've paired it with this gorgeous little plaid Topshop skirt. It's super high waisted and not too short, if like me you feel slightly self conscious when wearing anything tight and above the knee. The material is also a really lovely soft wool, so I imagine this would be gorgeous with tights and a jumper in the wintertime. If you're interested in this skirt, I've linked it, but there's only a few sizes left so I'd probably buy sooner rather than later if I was you!

In terms of accessories, of course I'm wearing my Burberry sunglasses (I mean, do I still even need to write that?!) and I've paired it with my favourite Tiffany & Co necklace. On my wrists I've basically got my entire Pandora collection going on, and both of my rings are also from there. I've really been lovely smaller, delicate pieces of jewellery recently, as opposed to something more outlandish, so these are perfect. Pandora specifically, is one of my absolute favourite places to buy from at the minute. I really think their jewellery is gorgeous, and on the scale of things, it's not too expensive - which is a win-win really!!
